Hi I have a 1998 fiat ducato 2.8 IDTD Eura Mobil Sport Motorhome. And on turning the key to start it this morning the glow plug light started flashing quite a few times rapidly after starting the engine it went off eventually. I turned the engine off and turned it back again a few times and the glow plug light stayed off.

hi all how long should the warning light come on for the glow plugs ducato x250 160bhp ( 18,000 ) it starts o.k but my previous model 2005 came on for a lot longer thanks :confused:
I have a 1998 2.5 TDi Ducato; this does not have individual glow plugs in the cylinders but a 'thermostart' device in the inlet manifold. Don't know how difficult this is to change but it only comes into play if the temperature is very low i.e. below 4 centigrade. if you are having starting problems above this temperature they are probably down to something else
